These minerals are critical to maintaining good oral health and strong teeth. You want to avoid stale and rotten meats, fish and vegetables. They not only lack taste, but have lost their nutrients which support good oral health. When selecting fish, look for fatty fish such as cod, tuna, mackerel and whiting. These fish contain vitamin D which is critical to maintain good dental and bone health.
When going shopping, remember that fresher is better not only in taste, but for your teeth. Getting those fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet will not only improve your overall health, but help you get a brighter and healthier smile. If you are going to purchase sweet fruits, gulp down some water or rinse afterwards to wash away the sugar and acids that may remain on your teeth.
